Finding a Server to Host Your Home Page for Free

Once a web page or web site has been created, it needs to be hosted by a server for it to be published on the Internet. Some Internet service providers will allocate you a certain amount of disk space to host your pages or site.

Tripod is a well-known web server that will host your web site for free without being your Internet service provider. Tripod has a template, Quick Page Builder, that will walk beginners through the steps of creating a web page. Others can create their own custom-made pages by using HTML on the Custom Page Builder.

For your own Free Home Page, download http://www.tripod.lycos.com/ Then register to become a member of Tripod's Free Homepage Builder and you'll get 50 MB of disk space free.
