A.I. Prince Vocational Technical School

and the Campus of Learners

A.I. Prince Vocational Technical High School with an enrollment of over 600 is one of 20 such schools in Connecticut. Currently 60 students from Charter Oak are enrolled in their programs. This comes as no surprise given the fact that, like the Community College, it is also located contiguous to the Terrace. The curriculum offered at this regional vocational / technical high school level includes courses in computers, the construction trades, auto mechanics, culinary arts, machine tools, and allied health among others. These are, once again, training in skills which are readily marketable in the Hartford area.

The Director, Mr. Bruce Sievers, and his staff have been integral members of the COLC. One of the school's computer classes comprised mostly of Charter Oak Terrace youngsters has worked with Trinity and CCTC faculty to help design of the Campus of Learner's Home Page.
