Services: Commissioned work including wall transfer site-specific applications. Mixed Media Techniques incorporate acrylic, airbrush, pencil, hand embossing and 3-D design in both graphic and modeled components. Classes are taught at Centro San Jose in New Haven.Liliana Mejia developed an interest in art as a child in Cali Colombia-South America by attending shows and exhibitions of her artist-mother. Her works draw on her many life experiences here in America and in her native Colombia. She left her native country in mid 1991 and began to exhibit in the USA after getting involved with Women in the Arts - New Haven and Women's Caucus for Arts - CT Chapter. She has shown at the United Nations, Tepper Galleries, and Art Expo in New York as well as many of the galleries in the Greater New Haven area. The artist has directed a mural project for the New Haven Public Schools, and received a grant and residency through the CT. Commission on the Arts. She is Treasurer of Women's Caucus for Art, a Board Member of City Spirit Artists and a Board Member of the West Haven Community House and a member of Coast to Coast - National Women Artists of Color.
