SUPPORTIVE HOUSING COLLABORATIVE

The Supportive Housing Collaborative is available to homeless families from the Hartford Area Shelters. The program is managed by the Community Renewal Team of Hartford (CRT) through a grant from the Federal Housing and Urban Development agency (HUD). The goal of the program is to assist families to get back on their feet following homelessness by providing help in the areas of rent subsidy, free mental health counseling, free substance abuse counseling, education assistance, employment counseling and skills training and case management to assist with goal planning, assessing community resources, and adult living skills enhancement. Throughout this two year transitional program we hope to help families to reach their economic, social and emotional potential by allowing them to gradually assume responsibility for their rent as well as the rest of their lives.
