VOLUNTEERS
:

We at The Salvation Army Marshall House welcome volunteers in many capacities. Some of the Capacities are:

- Youth Counselor support
- Family Counselor support
- Teaching a life skill in the youth or family program
- Computer work with residents
-Running chapel or bible study for residents

- Helping facilitate a structured kids group activity

INTERNS:

Opportunities for Inters at The Salvation Army Marshall House mostly consist of Youth Counselor support or Family Counselor support. We work with colleges throughout Connecticut. The only requirement is that whichever program you intern in you must be able to make staff meetings. We also work very closely with your advisor and you are supervised by somebody on our supervisory staff.

Handy man volunteering:

At the shelter we also have outside work that keeps us very busy. If this is more your area of expertise we can use you to:
-Racking
- Weed whacking
- Trimming brush
- Landscaping (planting trees, removing soil, weeding)
- Building maintenance (cleaning outside walls)
- Painting
