History

The Parkville Senior Center was founded in 1971 after a group of Parkville residents went to the City to see what services could be offered to their seniors.
The Parkville Senior Center has served the community and the city for 27 years honoring the diversity of its population. We believe that our Senior Center has never lost its focus and is doing its very best to fulfill the Vision of Hartford.We provide a wide range of ongoing activities at the Center

Being a member of the Parkville Seniors Center is being part of the community allowing every individual to retain a meaningful role and status. We know that it is important for people to feel needed and capable of making decisions, especially as we grow old. Although the Center is concerned about relationships in the community, its primary concern is for the older person, especially the frail and low income older person, regardless of race, color or creed.
