Mentors make a difference!
Be a Mentor

Career Beginnings, the college-access program of the Hartford Consortium for Higher Education, is currently recruiting volunteer mentors to assist Hartford-area high school students with the college admissions process. Career Beginnings' mentors are college-educated professionals with at least 5 hours a month to spend with a student. Typical mentor/student activities include researching colleges, working on the college application, talking about the future and having fun. No special skills are needed to become a mentor and training and on-going support are provided by Career Beginnings staff.

To find out more about mentoring with Career Beginnings or to register for the training, please contact Dr. Blanca Reyes, Program Manager, at 860-906-5029 or
